Jim Strain, club president, gives a weekly report of happenings at the railroad.

Photos attached are of the big tree next to the carbarn being felled by Hank Welch, the tree on the ground, the new switches taking shape for tracks 0-2 and the backhead for 928.

Saturday saw Lawson, Tabernacki, Welch, Bitsch, Hardt, Greathouse, Mosbacher, Haack, J & J Scott, Ball, Eckrich, Lorance & myself. This big news of course was the old tree next to the carbarn came down. Car painting & wheel work continued as did the new trucks for 5205. The 928 is nicely taking shape also.

Sunday's crew was Bitsch, Ernst, Bell, Welch, Neubauer & Lorance. Cleanup of the felled tree continued as did construction of the new switches for tracks 0-2.

Wednesday the 18th had Errante & Geders working 5205 trucks. Jim Scott turning wheels; Lorance, Smith & Welch on track work; Jimmy Scott & Tabernacki installing the rear mounting plate for 5205's truck bolster.

Kate Hardt said to let everyone know who plans to attend the Annual Meeting this Saturday that dinner is planned for 4:30pm. After dinner Neubie will show his WF&P slides for those who would like to stay for the show. The meeting begins at 2pm.

Congratulation to Dave Neubauer who is officially retired from the grocery business as of Saturday the 21st.

Don Miller & wife Esther are here from California to attend the Annual Meeting.

Get well soon to member Steve Britton who suffered a broken leg last Friday.

Two new prospective members are on the email list. First Keith Angle who as a college student spent two summers replacing ties for MoPac and Elliott Shaw who is an 11 year old student who has loved trains since he can remember. Welcome to both.
