Jim Strain, club president, gives a weekly report of happenings at the railroad.

Photos attached are of the new yard tracks taking shape, new paint for the wood seats on the flat cars (gray & red), the tree stump removed next to the carbarn by Welch, Lorance & Neubie last Wednesday and a front view of the 928 which is quickly taking shape.

Saturday was very busy at Glencoe as 15 members made it out to work. Projects for the day were 928, 5205, car painting & track work. The 15 members were: DeBellis, Errante, Fritschle, Haack, Hardt, Mohen, Rawls, J & J Scott, Tabernacki, Woelpel, Welch, Geders, Bitsch & myself. Thanks to all for making it a good day. It was great to see that many members participating.

Sunday saw J & J Scott back to the WF&P along with Lorance, Welch, Mosbacher, Owings & Bitsch. Ballast & cinders were cleared to make way for the new west end ballast siding switch. Unfortunately our warm January weather has given way to a cold February but much work is still getting accomplished.

Even though we had some light snow today Tabernacki, Geders, Lorance, Welch along with J & J Scott made it to the WF&P for another work day. Joe completed machining the side frames for 5205's trucks while Lorance & Welch worked on an AC power box for the signal system. New spark plugs for 13 and more seats were changed for the Shapiro gons as well as painting for the flat car seats.

Steve Marx is in Guatemala chasing steam. Have a great trip Steve.
