Jim Strain, club president, gives a weekly report of happenings at the railroad.

What a great day Sunday was, the passenger count was 693 and at noon the line was well past the ticket booth so 3 trains were put into service. Power for the day was 400, 535, 13 & 5205. Steve Marx was TM and did a great job handling all the activity. We also had plenty of help which allowed us to have sufficient crew for 3 train operation.

Photos attached are of Greg Wapelhorst switching cars with 400, Joe Geders collecting tickets at Yeatman, the line of passengers waiting to board the trains, Fritschle with 400, Hardt with 13 & a primer coat on the rebuilt caboose. Yes the primer is pink, it will help bring out the red in the finish coat. The caboose is being rebuilt by the rolling stock crew of Jimmy Scott & Mike Brennan.

The 928 did not make a test run on the 9th but Steve's plan is to do so on the 16th.

Congratulations to John Delaney who was voted in at the latest Board meeting as an Honorary Member of the WF&P in consideration of him many years of service.

The souvenir ladies are putting together a pot luck lunch for Sunday Aug 13th as a farewell to Joe Geders. Please contact Kate or Gina if you would like to contribute something for the lunch. The 13th will be Joe's last Sunday at Glencoe before heading to his new home in Jackson, Wyoming. Yes Joe, we will definitely miss you and best of luck in your new assignment.
