Jim Strain, club president, gives a weekly report of happenings at the railroad.
Thanks to Dale Bitsch for some very special photos for the Holiday Season. There are 14 images of the "Treasure Island Ry" at the United States SesquiCentennial Exposition, held in Philadelphia, PA. in 1926. Of course this is the origin of WF&P engines #400 & #401. Dale made copies of original photos from the Free Library of Philadelphia.

Img003 - An aerial view of the Treasure Island Railway. In this
photo it appears that the Delaware River is flooding the site. As you can
see from this photo, the Treasure Island Ry. Is built in a circle around
a lagoon.
Note the mountains, tunnels, bridges, and the turntable in the photo.

Img010 - Thought you might like to see a close up of Treasure Island
in the middle of the lagoon. The image shows "Noah's Ark" docked
along side the island.

Img011 - A covered bridge through which the Railway ran.

Img012 - If you look closely, you can see some of the "Toast
Rack" cars in front of the buildings on the bridge. The WF&P acquired
14 of these cars with #400 from Denver, CO.
