Not much happening at the WF&P this weekend. The weather was uncooperative with the latest ice storm Friday night. Power was still out at Glencoe as late as Monday afternoon but is back on as of now. Hopefully everyone weathered the storm without any major problems. Where you live in the St. Louis area had a lot to do with how bad the storm was, south & east not so bad - north & west much worse.

 

Photos attached are of Fred Kiesel taken over the last few years. This includes a photo of his last season in the ticket booth which was 2004. I've received a number of emails courtesy of our web site in praise of Fred and his devotion to the railroad. Obviously he had a lot of friends who enjoyed his company and respected what he had done over the years for the WF&P.

 

This Saturday the WF&P will be represented at the the St. Charles train show at the Heart of St. Charles Banquet Center  5th St. & Hwy I-70. Thanks to Jim Greathouse for taking the time to set this up and attend the show (time is 9am to 3pm). If you are able to help out at the souvenir table please contact Jim.
