Jim Strain, club president, gives a weekly report of happenings at the railroad.

Photos attached are of a much warmer time during the 2006 season.

Today (Wed) saw Lorance & Welch cutting ties, Scotty turning wheels for 1300 and Owens & Tabernacki continuing the 534 assembly. Sunday the tie cutting began with Marx assisting Hank, now we just need some warmer weather to begin installing them. Saturday's crew consisted of the Scotts, Keeton, Mohen, Haack, Lawson, Tabernacki, Eckrich, Welch, P. Smith, Lorance, Bitsch & myself. We also had a visit from Joe Aherins who has volunteered to restore our patterns for car trucks & wheels as well as the couplers. Joe has his own business and has been a pattern maker for many years, welcome Joe.

This Saturday Greathouse will have the WF&P represented at the Dupo, Illinois train show. Dupo High School, 600 Admiral Trost Dr. Dupo, IL from 10am to 3pm.
