Thanks to Malachi Owens for photos from the roundhouse & yard on Saturday. Work continues to get the boiler ready to mount on the frame. There are also photos of the carbarn extension and the ROW at Bluffs covered in snow taken on Sunday.

 

The temps are much improved this week after another very cold weekend. The snow is already melted and if the predicted rains hold off we may be able to install some new ties this weekend.

 

Today (Wed.) saw both of the Scotts & Jim Keeton working on gondola #251. Tabernacki & Foster continued the work on 534 while Lorance, Paul Smith & Hank were busy on the carbarn. Neubie & Dennis Smith removed the final 12 ties from the mainline.

 

Sunday was a quiet day. With the cold and snow on the ground, Hank did not schedule any work. Saturday was much more active with the usual 3 guys noted above in the carbarn and Owens, Haack, Fritschle, Haack, Dale & Tabernacki in the roundhouse.
