It was a hot one Sunday but really not that bad as the humidity was low for this time of year. The passenger count was 363 which is typical for a hot day. Power was again dependably provided by 535, 13 & 928.

Today (Wed.) was busy and the weather was super. There was another special run and the passenger count for June specials was well over 300 or the equivalent of another operating Sunday. Hank & Mike were busy with replacing a guard rail on the puzzle switch in Glencoe. 928 has been having some problems backing through the switch to the turntable so repairs are being made. Scotty & son along with Keeton continue to finish the body work on 1300. Scotty & crew will soon tackle the Wagner cars. The cars will be lengthened 18 inches and receive a new steel frame, while placing doors on both sides. Jim Keeton is feeling much better and has begun helping out again on the 1300 project. Jacket & insulation work continues with 534.
