Sunday was hot with a temp in the high 90s. There was a light breeze however and the humidity wasn't so high, that made the day tolerable and 350 passengers came out to ride the WF&P behind 535, 5205 & 13. 928 was fired but didn't make a run due to a clogged burner which was cleaned out by Lawson & Fritschle so it will be ready for next Sunday, which is predicted to be just as warm. Thanks to all who volunteered in the heat as we need the extra help to give everyone a break.
Today (Wed) saw a limited crew due to the heat but J&J Scott, Keaton, Brennan and Paul Smith make a tough group and spent the day at Glencoe. The 1300 is almost primed and ready for it's cover coat of paint. Jim will be glad to have this ready for the fall busy season.
