Yes another very hot Sunday hit the WF&P on the 12th. The passenger count was 250 which isn't bad for a day over 100 degrees. Power for the day was 928 & 13 with 5205 making one trip as we were busy early before traffic died off after 1pm. 928 & 5205 were put away and the day was completed with 13 and one train set. It certainly looks like the weather will break for this weekend as the high temps are predicted in the upper 80's with a chance of showers (we need rain badly). Thanks to all the dedicated volunteers who stayed for the day and dealt with the heat.
Today (Wed) saw another very hot day (100+) but that didn't slow down the crew of Scotty and Brennan who repaired a low couple on the 251 gondola and Bob Tabernacki who worked on the cab mounting for 534.
Steve Haack is looking to test fire the 403 on Sunday. Good luck Steve !!
I will be on vacation next week so there will be no newsletter next Wednesday.
