Photos attached are of Jim Scott with his "other" pet project. His 1951 Plymouth. Great job Jim, also Jimmy Scott has done very well this summer with selling photos of kids with 180 and the caboose, some of the recent pics are shown.
Today (Wed.) had Brennan & the Scotts working on 1300 It is back on it's trucks and only needs some finishing paint and sealer and it will be ready to roll again. I'll have some photos of it soon as it looks great. The seat was repaired in 13 as it was in bad shape.
Scotty has a large special to run on Friday 9/21 at 9:30am and could use some more assistance. If you are able to help out please give him a call.
Sunday was cloudy and threatened rain all day. We figured to have a poor day but were pleasantly surprised by the fact that 550 tickets were sold and we were very busy all day long. It never rained but the sun didn't shine either. Power for the day was 400, 535 and 13.
All performed well and with 1300 almost completed we will be ready for 3 train operation which is soon to come. Just remember we will need extra crew to be able to run 3 trains and also give everyone an occassional break. So with only 6 Sundays left to operate please make plans to spend as many of them as possible at the WF&P.
The Mississippi Valley N Scalers ran their modular layout Sunday in the GFK and it was a popular display for the riders to see. They will be there the 23rd & 30th of Sept. also. It's great to see them return after missing last year.
Don & Esther Miller we in attendance on Sunday as they had traveled to StL for Eileen Neubauer's funeral on Saturday. It's always great to get the chance to visit with Don & Esther. Don will also return for the end of the season next month.
