Jim Strain, club president, gives a weekly report of happenings at the railroad.

What a busy week we had at the WF&P, last Friday the 21st had a special with 200 passengers and today (Wed) had several specials including our annual Wildwood outing so another 300 passengers rode today. Then add to this count the 750 we had on Sunday and the week's total is over 1,200. Thanks to all who have kept the busy September special schedule on track, Jim Scott, Jimmy Scott, Jim Foster, Mike Brennan, Nathan Patterson, Dave Neubauer, Mike Lorance, Jim Greathouse, Dennis Smith & Paul Smith.

Sunday we had 3 trains running most of the day. We certainly weren't expecting 750 passengers this early in the fall but they were very welcome and were very patient waiting for their turn to take a ride. Power for the day was 400, 535, 13, 5205 and 704 and once the 3 train operation began the we got the waiting line under control in good time.

Congratulations to Brad George who turned 13 recently and also qualified as a brakeman on Sunday. Good job Brad !! Also welcome back to Ellen & Laura Fritschle who were helping out on Sunday with their dad Jerry. We continue to be very fortunate to have so many good student members and have been getting great participation from them.

Sunday is the final day for the Mississippi Valley N Scaler's layout to be in the GFK, if you haven't seen it yet it's certainly worth the trip.
