More excellent photos attached from Paul of the final operating day of 2007.
Again, thanks to all for an amazing season. Member turnout on the 28th was 45 members. What a great way to end the year. Ticket count for October was 3,949 (including specials). This would be our highest count for an October with only 4 Sundays.
And yes, just because operations are over doesn't mean it's time to stay at home. There are plenty of projects at Glencoe all winter long. Hank plans to work on the extension weather permitting on Sundays. Scotty & Tabernacki will be working in carbarn & roundhouse on Wednesdays & Saturdays.
Today (Wed.) saw Hank putting finishing touches on the inside wall of the carbarn work area. This has been extended over the last few weeks to allow more room for Scotty and crew to function in the winter time. Nebuie, Hank & Mike L. later headed down to the wye where several trees were cut down to get ready for the track extension work. Tabernacki & Errante were busy in the machine shop.
