Various members give a report of happenings at the railroad.
This past Wednesday (7/9/08) saw Mike Walsh, Richard Owings, Jim Scott, Mike Lorance, Hank Welch, Clayton Cullen, Jim Keaton, and a few others out at the WFP.
A Wednesday run was made for a group of children with 13. After the run, Richard Owings and some others took #13 down to Mohan to work on the ROW.
Jim Scott and Jim Keaton were working on the frame for the Wagner Car. It is now sitting on a pair of trucks, and we all look forward to completion of a new car.
Mike Walsh worked on the leaf springs on #535's tender that had become damaged in the derailment a few weeks back. He fabricated temporary end clips for the leaf springs and installed them (one set of springs required repair for each truck). Please keep an eye on these to ensure that they remain intact. A permanent solution will be sought as soon as possible.
Mike Lorance and Hank Welch were out spraying the parking lot and grounds.
