Motive Power
Some good news from the motive power department.  Pictures of 535's rebuilt boiler, Tennessee and Jerry Fritchle unloading are attached.  Paint job was by the guys at American Boiler (think they liked doing the work on it?).  For those who study the pictures and notice, to save answering your question, the new steel tubes are rolled and not seam welded.  For some reason still unknown, they said they could not/would not weld them in.  However, they were rolled by a hydraulic roller to the tune of at least .010-.015 inch per side from the feel of it.  They assured us, and by the looks of it, I don't think this will give us problems any time soon.  Will definately hold up better than the copper did and if they need re-rolling down the road, we know where to take it.  For what we are being charged, we really can't complain!  Hopefully she'll be steaming soon. Steve
