Maintenance Of Way
The road maintenance crew went east to work on the extension. Another fifty ties were installs and we are at the end of the current track with only about 15 feet left for this season. See Extension Project for more details and pictures.
Motive Power
Diesel Locomotive #13 and Steam Locomotive #928 opened the season and ran well. Other locomotives will come on line as we continue into May. #5205 has been converted to a chain drive and is now getting new skin. The top has been rolled and the sides are coming along well.

General News
Opening day went well. We had a full station of people at 11:00am to start the 2009 season. Our total for the day was 366 passengers. Thanks to all the members and the great team work of everyone working together all winter to prepare for this season. Le'ts continue the great work as we near 70 years of operations.
