Various members give a report of happenings at the railroad.

Saturday, March 27:

Jack Mayhew, Jim Strain, and Brad G. finished getting the air pump on 401 working and began to button her up for a hydro test in two weeks.

Clayton and is friend Josh (who just joined) fiddled with the box car assisted by Matt G. and Hunter D. When they placed the body on trucks one of the truck side frames broke. They found several side frames of this style in the stucco basement.

The tender for 400 was removed from the trailer and replaced by the crippled box car. John G. supervised. Elliott and his Mom were on site as well. Hank and Mike L. worked on small projects. I’m not sure if anyone else was on site earlier. I didn’t get much mechanical work done since I was being frequently consulted. That’s part of my job and I considered the day a plus since so many others were working.

I discussed several options for the 401 drivers which weren’t well received. This is why I discuss proposals with key individuals before bringing them to the Board.

Wednesday, March 31

Last Wednesday, I made a rail expander for the trailer with the stored power in it. The tool will hold the bridgerail in place so we don't have to worry about the rails comming undone when we move equipment in or out of the trailer. I made a new wrench for the lathe that got broken. It works well. Today, with the help of Greg W., my son Jimmy, Rich Owings, and John Mohen, we cleaned the debris out of the revenue cars. Hank, Mike, and Nuebie worked at summit.
