No. 41
Our motor section car, #41, is a railroad inspection car or what was often referred to as "Speeders". Originally built in 1942 with a wood frame, it was rebuilt in 1944 at the Brown Road Shops by members Fred Semple and Joe Hess with a metal frame. It operates on a 6.5hp gasoline engine with the original clutch/gear box that was rebuilt in 2024. The unit also received a new coat of paint staying close to the original Yellow/Black scheme. You can often see the unit in operations early on Sunday mornings when used for track inspections before operations begin.
